One of the many new features of the Tennessee Women's Council of REALTORS website is the ability for members to submit news articles. You can do this by logging in and clicking "Submit News" in the MY WCR menu.

In the new screen, you will see a Title field and Category drop-down. Enter the title of your article (try to keep it short and to the point) and select Latest News from the drop-down.

The first content box is called the Intro Text. This is the leading few paragraphs that start your article. If your story is short, you can put all of it in this box. If you are submitting an article that is long, you may want to put the first few paragraphs here, and the rest in the Main Text box below.

Both boxes have a WYSIWYG (What You See Is What You Get) editor at the top. This will allow you to add certain attributes to your story like bold, italics, a hyperlink, and pictures ...just to name a few.

To add a picture, please use your WYSIWYG editor, and refrain from using the image selector at the bottom of the page. Your WYSIWYG editor will allow you to select pictures located on your own computer, and the image selector will not.

When you're ready to add a picture, click on the little tree in the toolbar next to the anchor, and under "Styles". A new window will appear and a little box will be at the right end of the first line. Click on this to open another window, then click browse to find your picture. Once you have found the picture you want to add, double click it, then click Upload. This will add the picture you selected to the image directory, and it will appear as blue text in the current window. Simply click on the text, then click Insert. You can change the alignment in your editor, and also add a link by clicking on the picture and using the toolbar in your editor.

When you are satisfied with your article, go to the bottom of the page and click on the Publishing tab. Make sure Published is selected in the drop-down, and click on the floppy disk next to the blue check mark to save it. That's it! You've submitted your first article for approval. Once approved, you will find your article under the News tab. If you feel that it's worthy of the Front Page, just check that box under the Publishing tab.

It seems a lot harder than it really is, but with a little practice you'll be a TN WCR Publisher in no time!
