Having worked in Human Resources and Training Development for Applebee's International, Inc for over 11 years Jennifer found herself at a cross road in 1999. The company had sold off the division for which Jennifer worked. She could move to San Francisco or take her severance package. She could not see living so far from family so the decision was somewhat easy. In August of 2000 Jennifer, along with her husband Jeff were presented an opportunity to make a permanent move to Sevier County. Moving to the area meant developing, building and operating a new 44-acre resort in Pigeon Forge. Jennifer had the operational background but knew she would need to dive in and learn everything there was to know about overnight rental programs and real estate in Sevier County. In a short time Jennifer was asked to sit on the Board of Directors for the Pigeon Forge Hotel and Lodging Association and worked to help establish a new association, Smoky Mountain Vacation Lodging Association. The hard work and commitment paid off. "Getting involved and creating relationships with people allows you to fully understand and embrace the true uniqueness of our community."
Knowing the area is a huge plus. However, Jennifer also knows listening to what others need and are looking for is so important. When asked why should someone work with you when looking for a new home or investment property? "The learned, and trained skill of listening is critical. I work to use my God given parts in proportion one mouth, two ears. Don't get me wrong I like to talk, that's part of my job. But my Responsibility to my client is to listen to what they want."
